The National Honor Society used funds from our winter carnival coin drive to sponsor a table for the Literacy Volunteers of Bangor's annual fundraiser: The Marvin and Sheri Glazier Literacy Tea on Sunday April 7th. Our table, themed around the book Pinkalicious: The Royal Tea Party by Victoria Kahn, was designed and hosted by senior NHS members Ava Dean and Sophia Lindsey. We hosted honoree Sheri Glazier and her family at our table. A grand time was had by all!

A Cinderella Story: Ms. Ireland was the underdog for years, always being doubted by her haters, but constantly supported by her loving students. Without them Ms. Ireland probably only would have gotten second place or something. While some may have called her "the villain" of the competition, she did not let that keep her down. She kept quiet and hid in the shadows of the competition (unusual for her as she is usually full of trash talk) and came out of nowhere with the win. Unlike last year when she rage quit at least 5 times, Ms. Ireland stayed strong and fought until the end. As the humble competitor she is, she doesn't want to draw too much attention to herself, but we'd like to recognize her amazing accomplishment. Congrats MS. IRELAND!
